Caring for the Whole Family Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and other related forms of memory impairment create medical, practical and emotional challenges which affect the whole family. Residents need safe, caring environments that promote a high quality of life. Families have their needs, too. These can include understanding specific medical conditions and developing ways of coping with day-to-day frustration, worry, uncertainty and other emotions. At Chapel Hill Community we have developed a comprehensive Memory Care & Support neighborhood which ministers to both residents and families by providing support and peace-of-mind. Our Program Our mission is to provide individuals with memory impairment the opportunity to develop and maintain their abilities to their fullest potential, while enhancing their quality of life in a secure and home-like environment. Our Approach Our goal for the Memory Care & Support neighborhood is to maintain a warm, friendly, tranquil environment where residents can feel safe. This includes creating individualized, home-like areas and leading meaningful and purposeful activities. We assist residents with daily living tasks and provide individual and group programming to positively stimulate the minds and spirits of our residents. Our staff works hard to provide each and every resident an enriched day and high quality of life. This often includes adapting to the emotional and behavioral changes in our residents, some of whom can have trouble comprehending their environment or who have recurring frustration with challenges or limitations.Our Staff At Chapel Hill Community, our staff is extensively trained to deal with all aspects of memory care.
